Frequently asked Questions

Q. I have never modeled before. Does that matter?

A
. No it does not!  I am a very easy going photographer and I am used to models being a little nervous on shoots to start. I will quickly help you relax and enjoy the experience of the shoot.
One of the most enjoyable parts of this type of photography is working with new models and producing beautiful images that we are both proud of and happy to put on show.

Q. What do you do with the images taken?
A.
All my model photography work and especially TFCD / TFP requires a full model release form to be signed allowing me to sell the images to agencies if i choose to, I don't currently sell any but that may change in the future.  Model release forms are only required if I were to sell to agencies in the USA not the UK.

Q. Do you offer TFCD shoots?

A
. Yes, Time for CD means the model gets paid with a CD or DVD of around 10 selected high resolution images from the shoot. This is a standard practice and is a tremendous way for professional and aspiring models needing to keep costs down to build or expand their portfolio.

I will also include web friendly copies of each image on the cd or dvd if requested.  All images can only be used for self promotion not for reproduction or sale unless written permission is given by myself.  If images are used in a magazine etc or on the web for self promotion a credit must be given to myself. They are not for Commercial use.

Q. Do I have to get topless or naked?

A.
You don't have to do anything you are not comfortable doing. Before the shoot takes place we will discuss in detail the level you are comfortable with and stick to it. I trust you to know what your limits are and to be able to tell us what they are before any shoot.
I have no interest in pressuring models into doing the types of modeling they are not happy with. Communication and mutual respect are the keys to any good working relationship.

Q. Where do the shoots normally take place?
A.
Shoots normally take place outdoors, setup studio's  in Cumbria or at your home and/or a mobile studio. If I have to travel all travel costs must be met by you unless I feel you will benefit my portfolio alot.

Q. Can I bring someone with me to the shoot?
A
. Your comfort level is very important, as the more comfortable you feel the better the photos will turn out. I must also stress that we do not like the model or us to be distracted either so please mention who you will be bringing and organise this prior to the shoot. This is to avoid time wasting for myself and the model.

Q. Okay, I want to give it a try, what do I do next?
A
. If you are interested in modeling for myself, please email me a picture of yourself (a family snap will do) together with plenty of details about yourself and the level of modeling you would be comfortable working too.  I will then contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss setting up a shoot.
